Objective

MIT SVS’ B.Sc. in Integral Psychology is designed to groom the next generation of holistic counsellors, psychotherapists and leadership coaches who are armed with the best of modern and ancient insights into human behaviour. Later, the student will have the option to convert into the 5-year integrated M.Sc. in Integral Psychotherapy (i.e., 2 more years after B.Sc.). This program enables the student to become a professional in this field with the ability for independent practice as well as further research.

Value Proposition

Psychology is the emerging master science where Vedic insights are directly applicable and valuable. Hence, it is the most short-term impact area for Vedic Sciences. In addition to adding Vedic Psychology and Modern + Vedic Sociology as the other two streams, SVS has upgraded its Modern Psychology syllabus itself to introduce the latest advances in this area, such as transpersonal psychology, emergent findings in Modern Psychology and its future directions. The following career options are open for students: Counselling, Clinical practice, Educational training, HR, Organizational behaviour and Research

Admission Criteria

A short write-up called ‘Statement of Purpose’ indicating the reason for interest in Psychology and in SVS, along with career aspirations, should be submitted. This is followed by a phone interview.

Prerequisites

10+2 or equivalent in any stream
